I love so many books, but a very personal favorite (for so many reasons) is Jennifer Crusie's Bet Me. It's a comfort read for me. I absolutely fell in love with the characters and have read the book so many times I've had to buy 3 copies. :)

I wasn't first today, but I'm thrilled to have made it the whole week. Kind of like running a marathon. I came dressed as Harry Potter since I already wear glasses and the robe seemed the most comfortable thing to wear (I know, I'm too sensible).

I hope the Romance Divas haven't run out of sparkly tiaras and feather boas yet. I think they'll go great with my ninja warrior fairy costume. Okay, probably not literary but I borrowed the fairy wings and I figured I'd need the black pajamas for when I collapse from an overload of birthday bash.

Well, we totally missed out on the YA day due to conflicts and dumb bad luck, so we're here to party doubly hard! Hugh Jackman's going to need a vacation after this week! LOL! My scotsman friend decided to dress as Kevin Costner in Dances With Wolves (it was a book before it was a movie). So, he's in a blue Cavalry uniform, which goes well with the bright red hair! Lol! I am one of Eloisa James' Desperate Duchesses in a weightless silk chiffon gown (yummy). My husband a scotsman friend got into mischief with u-tube music videos yesterday. First they found Michael Buble singing Sway, then they found Dean Martin singing Sway, then they requested Rhumba lessons until I reminded the hubby that he already had Rhumba lessons that did not go with his two left feet. So they switched to a u-tube video of the Muppet Orchestra and a Tony Bennett lookalike singing Mambo Italiano. Then, the scotsman dashed out of the house! He returned this morning with the Muppet Orchestra and male dance instructors from Dancing With the Stars so we can all learn to Mambo, Rhumba, Foxtrot, ChaCha... Have fun! I need chocolate...

I changed my outfit. Now, I'm in huge panniers with a hair-do to rival Marie Antoinette tallest ever. (swooping in to snatch last plate of chocolate-covered strawberries--mwahahaha) Where was I? Oh, yes. My outfit. It's pink natch with lace, gems, bows, ribbons, and every frippery imaginable times ten. And chunky heeled shoes of silk with jeweled buckles.

What a great way to celebrate your anniversary and the romance genre! I am totally addicted to reading romance. Since I have been at the party awhile dressed as a duchess, I am changing into a more comfortable costume. I think I will be Claire Fraser from the Outlander books now. Maybe I can talk my date into putting on a kilt!

It's kinda sad to think this is the last day of the festivities. I am so glad that I have Barbara's regular blog to look forward to. Just to celebrate the occassion, I brought along a 50 pound bag of every kind of chocolate candy you can think of. "Yes Simi, there is chocolate flavored BBQ sauce just for you."

Barbara before I forget congrats on your 500th blog I'm sending this e-mail because as both my daughters say I'm not very computer literate, I can read blogs but never been able to add back. Since this was the last day of the bash I was determined to poke my nose in and started by perusing my closet for a costume. The pickin's were meager so I opted for comfort and dressed as a Woodstock hippy since my 15yr old says my clothing is so old now it's in style as retro! And to follow the manners Mom instilled in me I did not come empty handed to a party I came loaded down with Beef Stew for my covered dish and fresh strawberries with melted dark Godiva Chocolate to dip in. So hi everyone may be late but I'm here.

By some strange coinkydink I'm also attired as Tinkerbell, only my costume is pink, as I look appalling in most shades of green. Tinkerbell is the name of my secured network and I have a sleepshirt with my namesake as well.

Well, I wish so many of those Navajo warriors hadn't gotten away, but what can one do with a functional chastity belt strapped to one's loins, after all? Happy 6th day Barbara! While in RL there is noooo way I could party this hard for 6 straight days in cyberland I'm so there! :D I've had the time of my life this week. My senses are getting their fill. Looking at the men, smelling how yummy the men are, touching the men...*goes off to an ebil place* Oops where was I? Oh I'm dressed like the warrior goddess Athena and I don't care if it doesn't go with my outfit I'm so wearing one of those pink tiaras & boas that Romance Divas provided! *gives femme fatale pose and blows a kiss* And holy cow that Cherry Bounce really gives a good kick! I definitely need a designated driver as I'm finally going home after 6 days of partying! Oh and TY TY to Sherri for providing her Dark-Hunters (Hey Simi! *waves*) and to Aimee and David for their Navajo Warriors and to Julie for those surfer dudes *love how they smell so coconutty and tropical :D*...As for the food...omg european chocolate cake (TY Diane!)..and the lovely wine and cheese from Catherine *a few I never even tried before! So good!* And that hot artichoke dip made me forget I don't like veggies! Really delish. There's so much yummy food that I may have to be rolled out the door! Naturally, I also cast a spell to banish warts and green skin so now I look like Glenda the brown-noser. Oh, and even better? I brought all my flying monkeys with me to deliver my contribution to the snack table: I bought out the Godiva store! There, just set all the chocolates on that table, guys. Oh, and that one, too. Now I just need a glass of champagne to go with them . . .

Hi, Tinkerbarb and All. Sorry I'm so late; I was prom dress shopping with my dd. Love her, hate shopping. I see some of my favorite characters are here (Elizabeth Bennet, Claire Fraser, The Wicked Witch of the West, Stephanie Plum). So I dressed as Temperence Brennan. I know Booth isn't in the books, but I figure I get him anyway as he's so closely allied with her. Rourke, Darcy and Jaime Fraser are so in love with their wives, we don't have a chance with them (which is why we love them, of course!).
