Great first year -- it sounds a lot like mine when I got started as a published author -- a lot of learning and a lot of people who helped along the way.

I was talking to one of my non-fiction readers yesterday and she told me about your one-year anniversary. I said, “How did you know about this and I didn’t?” Of course, I thought to myself, “It doesn’t seem like a year."

She quickly fired back. “Just because I read your non-fiction books doesn’t mean I don’t read other genres. I read romance too. When I want to find a spicy romance title, because of limited time in the book store, I typically go to an authority I can trust.” My friend went on to say that because she goes into a store toting toddlers that she typically likes to know what book she plans on purchasing before she goes into the store.

She quickly advised, “And because of Barbara Vey, closet erotic romance readers, like me, can find out who to read and where to find the best books available today.”

I have to agree. Happy Day, Barbara! It doesn't seem like a year but it has been 12 months of information I'm glad I didn't miss!
